I approach every patient as an individual and work to not only find the location of a patients pain, but investigate to find the root cause of it. The location of a patients pain is not always the main issue, and can be just a symptom of something larger. I work with every patient through history taking plus physical and orthopaedic exam to come to a specific diagnosis that is unique for every patient. Every patient is given a report of findings specific to their diagnosis explaining what the cause of their pain is, why it may have started and what the plan of management will be to fix the problem. Typical management can include, but is not limited to, soft tissue work (ART), medical acupuncture, spinal adjustment/manipulation, shockwave therapy, low level laser therapy and at home rehab/prehab exercises for the patient to do daily. No two patients are the same, and even if they might share a similar diagnosis the specific management varies between individuals.

I treat utilizing much more than the very traditional chiropractic adjustment/manipulation of the spine. I have extra training in Active Release Techniques (ART), Medical Acupuncture and Advanced Concussion Management skills. Growing up I was always a high-performance athlete, and as such have an affinity for treating high level and elite level athletes. I have experience treating Cyclists, Runners, Hockey Players, Triathletes, Soccer Players, Cheerleaders and most recently International level skateboarders.

I consistently prescribe corrective rehab exercises for my patients to work on at home, and encourage daily activity as it has been proven to reduce pain and dysfunction. Patients are an integral part in their healing, and as such I involve them as much as possible in the care of their injury. Once out of pain, patients are often left with an at home exercise program to help prevent any further injury from recurring.

I am in the midst of doing my chiropractic Sports Sciences Residency Program (SSRP) facilitated by the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences (RCCSS). In conjunction with this program I recently completed a Masters at the University of Guelph with a focus on central sensitization and neurogenic inflammation. I chose to do both of these programs to sharpen my clinical acumen around the people I enjoy treating the most. Elite-level athletes. Advanced imaging, high-performance athlete evaluation, sport nutrition, sport psychology, research publication and hospital rounds are just a few of the areas that I will have advanced experience in throughout this sports sciences residency.
